BELIEFS

God

We believe in One eternally existing God who created all things and by whom all things exist. God has revealed Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being. (Deuteronomy 6:4; John 1:1-14; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6, John 10:30)

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. The Holy Bible, and only the Bible, is the authoritative Word of God. It alone is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths. We accept the Scriptures as the final authority in all manners of faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26)

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified on Calvary for our sins, and bodily rose from the dead; and that He has been exalted to the throne of God where He is the only mediator between God and man. He alone is Lord and Savior. We believe that through this death, burial, and resurrection we have personal salvation and power for victorious living. (Colossians 1:15-18; 1 Timothy 3:16; John 1:1,14,14:6;20:28; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-6; 1 Timothy 2:5; Acts 4:12; Revelation 1:8)

Trinity

We believe there is one true, holy God, eternally existing in three equal persons – God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Sin

We believe we were originally created to be in relationship with God, but humans defied Him by going their own independent way, resulting in separation from Him.

Salvation

Each person can receive salvation by repentance of their sins and faith in Christ. People are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He provides Christians with power for living, sharing the message of Jesus, giving spiritural gifts, and guidance in doing what is right. As Christians, we seek to live under His guidance daily. (Genesis 1:2; Psalm 51:11, 139:7; Isaiah 61:1-3; Joel 2:28-32; Mark 1:10; Luke 1:35, 4:1, 11:13, 12:12; John 15:26, 16:7-14; Acts 1:8, 2:1-4, 13:2; Romans 8:9-11, 14-16, 26-27; 1 Corinthians 3:16; Ephesians 1:13-14; 2 Peter 1:21; Revelation 22:17)

Christians

We believe the church is the body of Christ; A local community of Christians and a part of the global church as a whole. Christians are to work together in love and unity for the ultimate purpose of glorifying God, making Jesus known to the world, and making disciples. (Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23; John 17:11, 20-23)

Christ’s Return

We believe Jesus Christ will physically and visibly return to earth for a second time to establish His Kingdom. We will either be eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life in Heaven. Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.
